Shahid Afridi Played innings of his life time?

Boom Boom Shahid Khan Afridi who is renowned for hitting big shots have shocked the world by playing a mature and sensible innings against New Zeland in Dubai (1st ODI). In the first half Afridi was outstanding with the ball. He conceded only 36 runs and picked one wicket from his 10 Over Quota.

Afridi came in when Pakistan were 124/6 after 30.2 Over’s. From the very first ball Afridi intentions were quite clear of not taking any risk. He took his time on pitch by playing 19 balls for just 12 runs. He along with Haris was building solid partnership which dented Kiwi’s in the end. Both played risk-free strokes in Power-Play and picked 43 runs without losing any wicket.

Boom Boom Afridi was dealing with single, doubles with odd boundaries. He did not try any powerful shot which was reflected in his batting stats. Afridi brought up his 50 without any hitting any six. It was his 37th ODI 50; he scored a half-century without hitting a six after 1997. Afridi lost his wicket when Pakistan required 13 from 13. Haris Sohail cashed the opportunity and guided Pakistan home by hitting a boundary. Afridi and Haris 110 runs 8th wicket partnership guided Pakistan towards a famous victory. It was a great game for cricket lovers.
