Afridi eyeing on 8,000 runs & 400 Wickets Milestone

Shahid “Boom Boom” Afridi is all set to play last tournament of his prolific ODI career. Sangakara, Jawaderne and Afridi are the most senior players of 2015 Wolrd Cup. Afridi will represent Pakistan in World Cups for the 5th time.

Afridi has played 391 matches with a batting average of 23.58 scoring 7948 runs at a healthy strike rate of 116. He has taken 393 wickets at an amazing economy rate of 4.63. Afridi only needs 52 runs and 7 wickets to reach 8,000 runs & 400 Wickets milestone.

If Pakistan has to perform well in World Cup, Afridi brilliance in both batting & bowling will be required. Before the start of World Cup, Pakistan has already lost their three premier bowlers; Ajmal, Hafeez & Junaid Khan. The injuries of senior players have multiplied the responsibility on Afridi shoulders. Everyone wants Afridi to play well in World Cup, as he is the biggest hope of all fans.
Pakistan will take on Arch-Rivals India on Sunday 15th Feb, 2015. This is going to be one killer of a match for both the nations. Last time when Pakistan played against India in Asia Cup, Afridi turned out to be the hero. He hit 2 sixes in the final over and led Pakistan to a famous 1 wicket victory. Fans are expecting the same show from Afridi against India on 15th Feb.
