New Zealand won the WC opening match by 98 runs

New Zealand won the opening World cup match by 98 runs. Srilanka won the toss and elected to field first. New zealand played well and posted 332 runs. Corey Anderson scored 75 off 46 balls. Sri lanka started well but collapsed in the middle order. They managed to score 234 runs in reply of 332. Anderson was awarded as man of the match due to his all round performance. He scored 75 runs and picked 2 wickets.
